This is my best selling drawing so far. The original graphite pencil and ink drawing was commissioned as an interior design piece for a beautiful kitchen up in Scotland. It now adorns modern living rooms, classic stairwells, country kitchens and basically every space you can imagine (as it’s a very versatile piece).

The Spiny Seahorse (also known as the Long-Snouted Seahorse) is found clinging to sea grass and seaweed mainly around the southern coast of the UK. This vulnerable species is known to practice monogamy with the male taking a primary role in the birthing and care of their young.

In my artistic head, this was a ‘pregnant’ male with his partner’s fertilised eggs in his brood pouch.

Sizes A4 (29.7 x 21cm), A3 (42 x 29.7cm) or A2 (59.4 x 42cm) all on acid free paper and torn edge.
